Airport Pavement Markings
Airports present unique challenges - challenges that our co-workers love.
We have outlined our specific approach to Airports below. If there is anything left to question, please contact the Sales Department. They would love to chat.
Runway incursions are a significant threat for any airplane, and the airport that serves them. To help reduce these threats, a multifaceted approach is needed, including a review of the runway markings.
Are the markings:
Highly reflective, both day and night?
Durable and long lasting?
Easily identifiable, both to the pilot and the landing systems?
Physically secure, so as not to become FOD themselves?
Accurate and reliable?
How can KSI help?
Through the extensive use of proven products that are FAA approved and long term experienced employees with a reoccurring training program, paired with industry leading equipment, all combine to propel us forward in our quest to be the Airport Contractor of choice.
We have extensive knowledge in Runway, Taxiway and Parking layout and Striping using all different products, including Paint, Methyl Methacrylate, Epoxy, Air Mark and others.
What has KSI done?
From small, one runway Airports, to the second largest airport in the world (by land volume) we stand prepared to make your project happen - both on time and on budget.
We have extensive experience in new construction, to rehabilitations, to simple restriping’s. That experience has taught us that it's not just the Striping that goes on the pavement, it's the Customer Service that is required from day one to long after the project is finished. It is that commitment to the Customer that sets us apart from our nation-wide counterparts. We are not just in one day and back home the next. Our focus is you and the service you receive.
Size is important. So is a friendship.
Kolbe Striping is large enough to pull off any size project. We are also small enough to care about and listen your concerns, your thoughts and your ideas. Listening is the single most important thing we teach our co-workers in training.
Our Project approach is to first establish a relationship with the Customer and listen to the intended result of the project. Next is to present a phased schedule, and third is to complete construction according to that schedule. Quality control and Safety are fully integrated throughout this process. Last, but certainly not least, is the need to communicate and ensure that the final project meets the needs and wishes of the Customer.
We are full service, not one service.
Airports are so much more than just runways. From the service roads to the parking garages... we complete them all.
While we have our co-workers that specifically specialize in the air side of the airports, we are able to offer just as exacting standards with other specifically trained co-workers in the other, just as important areas of the airport. Some of our work includes:
Airport Parking Garages
Drop off/Pick up areas
Airport Feeder Roadways (highways and roadways)
Service Corridors (luggage, tram, service, IT, etc.)
Tramway safety markings
Luggage and Service Cueing
